History and Philosophy

The temporary help industry developed during the second world war, when workers were shifted from company to company because of war-related labor shortages. Today, temporary help is an industry used by 90% of American businesses. Many temporary workers hold advanceed professional degrees or have unique training, including doctors, nurses, attorneys, paralegals, architects, chefs, hospital administrators, business executives, and others in positions of great responsibility.

Napoleon Okafor, founder of Willingham Health ServicesTM has 15 years experience in the healthcare industry. Because of the longevity of his own family members, Mr. Okafor has long held a special regard for the elderly. His grandmother lived until 101 years, and his great grandfather lived until 103. Thus, when he had obtained his advance degree, he became a nursing home administrator. During the 10 years he spent in that position, he learned first-hand the benefits of using temporary staff to supplement his own staff during vacancies, illness, vacations, pregnancies and health leaves.

Mr. Okafor started his own supplemental medical staffing agency - Wellington Health Services - in 2000. Since then, he has seen how his services have benefited his clients.

He has learned successful methods for recruiting professional staff and developing relationships with clients. Franchising is an excellent method for teaching others how to provide these same vital services in their own communities. Thus Mr. Okafor and Willingham Health ServicesTM began developing a franchise system in December, 2006.
